Walking His Way Workbook was written to facilitate the learning of the content of the Great Commission, which tells us to teach our disciples “to obey all things that I have commanded you” (Matt 28:20). Every command in the NT is categorized and reviewed in this 8-session Seminar Workbook.
Few teachers or preachers know what these commands are, and fewer believers know what they are expected to be obeying.
This book is written in a Six-Step Adult Learning Format so that learners can grasp systematically all of the commands of the NT, which Jesus taught and those He gave to Paul and the other writers either directly or through revelation. In this format, they can be studied in Small Groups, discipleship or mentoring relationships, family or personal devotions, and a resource for Bible teaching.
The eight categories are derived from Peter’s exhortation in 2 Peter 1 to “make every effort to add to your faith” excellence, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. If this was the description of the mature believer, then all the commands should fit in these categories, and they do. This makes the commands easier to learn and remember… and more importantly, it facilitates how we can encourage one another and hold each other accountable for practicing the commands.
